1. Google User Data

GranolaGo accesses certain user data from your Google account to facilitate the sign-in process. This access is limited to the following:

  • Information Accessed: When you sign in with Google, we access your email addressand profile information (such as your name and profile picture).
  • How We Use Your Data: This data is used solely to create your account, authenticate your identity, and display your profile within the GranolaGo application. We do not use this data for advertising purposes.
  • Data Sharing: We do not share your Google user data with third parties, except as necessary to provide the features of the application or to comply with applicable laws. We do not sell your personal data.

Limited Use Disclosure

GranolaGo's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

2. Information We Collect & How We Use It

A. Profile & Account Information

In addition to your Google Auth credentials, you may choose to provide additional details for your GranolaGo profile, such as a bio, travel preferences, and interest tags.

Visibility: Your name, photo, and public profile details are visible to other users on the platform.

B. Trip & Event Bookings

When you book a trip or event, we process your registration details to reserve your spot and manage logistics.

Visibility: Your attendance at an event may be visible to other attendees in the event's shared workspace.

C. Workspaces, Group Chats, and User Groups

GranolaGo features collaborative "Workspaces" and "Group Chats" linked to specific trips or user-created groups.

  • Content You Share: We collect and store the messages, photos, and content you post in these workspaces to display them to other group members.
  • Visibility Warning: Please be aware that any information you post in a Workspace or Group Chat is visible to all other members of that specific group. We cannot control how other members may use the information you share in these semi-private spaces.

3. How We Share Your Information

  • With Other Users: As described above, your profile and shared content are visible to other users within the groups and workspaces you join.
  • Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate our infrastructure (e.g., database hosting via Google Firebase, hosting via Vercel).
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information and chat history for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. You may request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
